Location: Flossmoor, IL | Job Type: Full-Time | Salary: $40,000 – $50,000 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8-hour shift

About the Role

Oasis Hospice is seeking a compassionate Music Therapist to join our team. This role uses music-based interventions to support the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of hospice patients. As a vital part of our care team, you will help enhance the quality of life for patients and their families through personalized music therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans based on patient needs.

• Facilitate sessions that may include singing, creating, moving to, or listening to music.

• Document therapy sessions in the electronic clinical record in compliance with regulations.

• Collaborate with caregivers, hospice staff, and skilled nursing facilities to ensure seamless patient care.

• Provide education and in-service instruction as requested.

• Adhere to infection control protocols and hospice care guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program.

• Certification as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC).

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party coverage requirements.

• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
