Location: Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care – Flossmoor, IL
Schedule: Flexible | Part-Time or As-Needed
Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and service-minded individuals to join our team as General Hospice Volunteers. Volunteers play a critical role in helping us deliver high-quality, holistic care to patients and families across Cook, DuPage, and Will counties.
This is a non-paid, volunteer role that offers meaningful experiences in both clinical and non-clinical capacities. Volunteers assist with patient engagement, caregiver support, and administrative duties that contribute to the daily operations and mission of Oasis and our inpatient unit, House of Goshen.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteers may support the organization through any of the following areas, based on skills and interest:

Patient Companionship: Engage in friendly visits, reading, music, or light conversation.

Administrative Support: Assist with data entry, phone coverage, mailings, or front desk tasks.

Community Outreach: Participate in community events, fundraising efforts, or social media support.

Special Projects: Help with creative arts, letter writing, memory books, or family support.

Bereavement & Spiritual Care: Support grief and reflection activities when appropriate (training provided).
Requirements

Passion for serving others with empathy and compassion.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Must pass background check and complete hospice volunteer training (provided by Oasis).

Minimum age: 18 years old.
